Maltese rap group Kapitlu Tlettax, in collaboration with Liston Bongailas, have released their latest song Nittama Fikom and a powerful music video to go along with it.
The tune is based on real experiences of fathers who were alienated from their children.
The lyrics and music video depict the pain and hopelessness felt by these men who were separated from their children and feel that their only way to escape their sorrow is by ending their life.
The Maltese rap group appeals to all the men that have lost faith in the judicial system that was “supposed to protect them in the first place” in the powerful lyric “hang in there, my friend”.
After the success of their last release, Nibqa’ Nammirak which catapulted to number one on YouTube’s Trending for Music and top three on Malta’s Top 20 Chart, the group announced that this would be their final release for the year.
Nittama Fikom features a collaboration with Liston Bongailas, who you may recognise from Malta’s Got Talent and X Factor where he performed his original songs, including one dedicated to his son.
The song, produced by Cyprian Cassar at Somnio Recording Studios, with a promotional campaign by Ironic PR, is available for streaming on Facebook and YouTube.
